Advantages and disadvantages of reciprocating compressors

Advantages: It has a wide range of applications, mature manufacturing technology, simple structure, low requirements for processing materials and IT technology, low cost, strong adaptability, can adapt to a wide pressure range and cooling capacity requirements, and strong maintainability. Disadvantages: Unable to achieve high speeds, the machine is large and heavy, making it difficult to achieve lightweighting, the exhaust is discontinuous, the airflow is prone to fluctuations, and there is significant vibration during operation. Due to the above characteristics of crankshaft connecting rod compressors, this structural form is rarely used in small displacement compressors. Currently, crankshaft connecting rod compressors are mostly used in large displacement air conditioning systems for buses and trucks.
