2. Due to poor cooling effect and high condensation temperature, gas cooled condensers are mainly used in places lacking cooling water sources, decentralized and small-scale refrigeration systems. For large and medium-sized refrigeration systems, the most commonly used type in the past was vertical or horizontal shell and tube condensers. In order to reduce cooling water consumption, circulating water is mostly used, so cooling towers or cooling water tanks need to be built, resulting in the disadvantages of large footprint of condensers and cooling tower devices, and high power consumption of circulating water pumps and cooling tower fans.
